Our client is top leader of valve manufacturing, base in Batam is urgently requiring:

CASTING ENGINEER

Major Responsibilties / Position Purpose:
The primary function of this position is understand related to the design, processing, development of raw and machined Ductile Iron and Aluminum Castings for Butterfly valve applications.

Additional / Specific Responsibilities to Include:

•Determining best processes for specific part families / applications
•Determining best Design incl. DFMA (Design for Mfg.) practices
•Determination and documentation of tools relating to Castings including:
•Cost Modeling
•Supplier benchmarking
•Supports Castings product improvement and cost reduction initiatives working closely with Product/Processes/ Manufacturing Engineers, Designers, and Suppliers
•Hosts Design and Process reviews with Suppliers on site and off site. Travels to Suppliers when necessary

Required Education, Experience, and Competencies:

•Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Material Sciences
•Minimum 5 years Engineering / Manufacturing company work experience including at least 2 years with Products that include Castings
•Proficiency in basic computer applications / use including presentation, word processing, spreadsheet, program management, etc. software
•Good written and oral communication and presentation skills
•Experience as member of team / ability to promote teamwork
•Ability to convince and compromise with others cross-functionally

Preferred / Additional Education, Experience, and Competencies

•Detailed knowledge of / hands-on experience in Ductile Iron and Aluminum Casting Product, Process Design, Tooling, Manufacturing
•Experience at Casting company / in Foundries
•Experience with / knowledge of Material Specification for Castings
•Strong problem solving skills
•Strong project Management Skills

Fresh Graduated also welcome but with Metalurgy Knowledge
